Maecenas Fine Art, however, is a platform based on blockchain that wants to democratize the access to Fine Arts.

Yesterday these companies announced a long-term strategic partnership that will allow the use of cryptocurrencies for the purchase of “fractional interest” of high-value works of art, of artists like Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso and Rembrandt.

Practically, it will be possible to buy partial ownership shares of works of art and to pay them in cryptocurrencies.

In this way, you can be the owner of a masterpiece without having to buy it in full and at  full price.

The first sale will involve a multi-million dollar worthing piece of art, which will be available for purchase in digitized financial units for investors, collectors and owners on the Mecenate platform.

The precise date of the beginning of this first auction will be announced in June.

Dadiani and Mecenate aim to globalize and bring more transparency to the traditional model of buying and selling works of art.

Moreover, both companies are convinced that, by allowing the purchase and sale of works of art on blockchain and in cryptocurrencies, they can contribute to create new opportunities for their owners, and expand the global art market.

Marcelo Garcia Casil, co-founder and CEO of Mecenate, said:

“Our partnership with Dadiani is an important step in the development of a new unique financial structure that significantly improves the art market that has otherwise remained largely unchanged for hundreds of years. With our respective areas of expertise in art, finance and technology, our partnership with Dadiani Syndicate creates an ambitious synergy of innovative minds committed on bringing the market of antiquated artistic investments into the 21st century”.

Eleesa Dadiani, founder of Dadiani Syndicate, added:

“Dadiani Syndicate is proud to partner with Mecenate, our colleagues pioneers in bringing new technologies to this sector. Together we aim to make the future of fine art investments within everyone’s reach. Cryptocurrencies will broaden the market, bringing a new type of buyer of art and luxury “.
