The official lists of experts selected for the groups that will work on the development of national strategies on artificial intelligence and technologies based on distributed ledgers and blockchain have been published on the website of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MiSE).
The selections were made on the basis of criteria of proven competence and experience and strictly pertinent to the sector of reference, of clear relevance in technology, business, legal and scientific fields, as well as a proven ability to effectively disclose the needs and demands of stakeholders or the reference body.
The objective of the MiSE is to deepen these technologies to encourage the increase of public and private investment in these directions.
The first meeting of the selected experts will be held in January 2019, while the two National Strategies, once elaborated, will be submitted for public consultation.
Minister Luigi Di Maio said:
“The numerous and qualified expressions of interest received in the selection of expert groups demonstrate the wealth of knowledge and experience related to emerging technologies we have in Italy.
