Helperbit has announced that it now also supports the Ledger hardware wallet.
Indeed, with the latest update, the platform has added the possibility of creating a bitcoin wallet using the Nano S device of the well-known French company Ledger, of which more than a million and a half devices have already been sold.
Moreover, the integration with other hardware wallets, such as Trezor, is planned for the future.
All users who already have such a physical device can create a wallet on Helperbit simply by matching it to the platform. The private key is kept only on the physical device, and you do not even need to use the 12-word passphrase.
To make a transaction on Helperbit using a hardware wallet you need to use the “Manage your bitcoin wallet” function on the physical device, available in the user’s control panel, and choose the procedure to create a wallet.
At this point, you will need to connect and unlock the Ledger with the PIN, access the bitcoin app on the device and confirm the operation. The wallet is now created and the bitcoin address is visible on Helperbit with its QR code.
To send BTC it is necessary to make the transaction and confirm the transfer of funds directly to the physical device. This way Helperbit will not have any access to the wallet, which is managed entirely on the Ledger device, but is simply connected to the wallet that, physically, remains only inside the device.
Helperbit is a fundraising system that uses blockchain technology for full transparency of money flows. It has no membership fees and allows full control over funds thanks to the multi-signature wallet. It also supports payments by credit/debit card or altcoins.
