Only a few hours ago, a 9,900,000 Tether (USDT) transaction worth around $10 million was carried out from the so-called Tether Treasury.
The transaction involves the address 0x5754284f345afc66a98fbb0a0afe71e0f007b949, which corresponds to the Tether Treasury address, i.e. the address that in the past held about 30% of the USDT supply in circulation, becoming one of the 5 addresses with the most Tether.
The transaction, which cost only $0.29, saw as its destination an unknown wallet, 0x568cc6eca34d56f95b16ff0250dfa77f247c47, from which several transactions departed towards different exchanges:
- 2 million USDT towards Binance;
- 1 million USDT towards OKEx;
- another 500,000 USDT towards Binance;
- 5 million USDT towards Bitfinex.
The remaining amount, 1,490 million USDT, has remained in the account and has not yet been moved.
Surely the increase in the value of bitcoin (BTC) is helping to raise the value of other cryptocurrencies and indeed most of them are now registering double-digit rises, which is why a lot of important transactions are taking place, including yesterday’s one which involved 15 thousand BTC.
