ICO Race, it will be the first major crypto event in the city of Lugano.

A true Grand Prix with the best ICOs of the future, with a final and bottles of champagne for those who will win the first prizes, more than a million dollars in total.

The event, promoted by Eidoo and its platform ICO Engine, will take place in the Palazzo dei Congressi on June 6-7.

Simone Conti, head of ICO at Cryptolab, explains: “To date, we have exactly 89 candidates, aspiring ICOs who have already submitted their applications and from whom the names of the first 15 finalists will emerge. Then, on the same evening (6th June), the names of the other five who will pass the semi-finals will be known“.

The arduous task of evaluating the three ICO queens will be left to the jury.

The 20 ICO finalists will compete for a jackpot of more than a million dollars, considering the services offered by the organizers and the listing on one of the most important exchanges in the world.

On Thursday 7 June, each ICO finalist will take the floor for 10 minutes for a pitch to present their project.

Welcoming greetings will be given by the Mayor of Lugano, Marco Borradori, and the Mayor of Chiasso, Bruno Arrigoni.

Among the local authorities, greetings from the Municipal Michele Folletti, responsible for Finance of Lugano, and Stefano Rizzi, Director of the Economics Division of the Department of Finance of the Canton of Ticino.

In addition to Cryptopolis, the event will be promoted by the Crypto Valley Association, the global hub based in Zugo created on the model of Silicon Valley.

ICO Race will be an opportunity to listen to the speeches of some members of the jury related to “The global state of ICOs“, the issue of the “Crypto Bubble vs. Debt Bubble” and also “From the Homeland of Banks to the Homeland of Cryptos“.

Speaking of the jury, the best ICOs will be judged by experts such as bankers, venture capitalists, lawyers, developers, crypto-investors, startup and exchange entrepreneurs.

These are the names: Lars Schlichting, partner of Kellerhals-Carrard, Thomas Bertani, CEO of Eidoo and founder of Oraclize, Paolo Ardoino, CTO of Bitfinex, Federico Tosato, founder of Adm Ventures and Yeldo, Anna Palmina, managing director of Palmina Ivest and Marc P. Bernegger, member Advisory Board of Cryptofinance Group and Mike Costache, Ceo d10e & Advisory Board of TaaS.

It should be noted that d10e is the company that has promoted the 30 largest ICO Pitch Competitions in the world since 2014.

How do the prizes work

The first ICO to qualify will receive $600,000, plus the chance to be listed on one of the world’s leading exchanges.

The runner-up will win $300,000 + $100,000 off ICO Engine’ products, one of the sponsors of the event.

Finally, the third step of the podium will win $100,000 + $100,000 off to launch their own token sale using ICO Engine.

Wallem’s first time

ICO Race will also host the presentation of Wallem, a new app similar to Pokemon Go, with which to capture tokens.

Andrea Bempensante, CPO of the company, explains, “Wallem is a catch n’ snatch in augmented reality. In practice, players can collect (catch) the tokens they find on the territory or take them away, let’s say steal them (snatch), from other players, using their device in AR+ at close range.”

The game requires strategy, special items, experience and teamwork to capture other people’s tokens and defend your own.

How to take part in ICO Race

To participate in the contest, teams with an ICO project must submit their application and submit the necessary information for initial screening.

A white paper with a clear description of both the business model and the operation of the token are needed, including the financial data underlying the future token sale.

Another precondition is that the ICO must be launched after 6 June and by the end of 2018.
The judges will decide on the following variables: Solution to the problem, Business and Token sale model, Token Sale terms, Team and Pitch.

Other relevant assessment factors will be the token release process, pricing and lock-ups for teams and partners.

The event can also be attended as simple spectators, through the purchase of tickets, offered until May 20 at discounted prices.

ICO RACE will provide the opportunity to network with the CEOs of all ICOs in the final and get in touch with authoritative personalities of the crypto industry.

The official sponsor of the event is ICO Engine, Eidoo’s platform for launching ICO. Other sponsors are Cryptolab, The Cryptonomist, ICO Booster, CryptoPolis, KPGM Swiss and Cryptocompare, the world’s leading provider of real-time data on the crypto market, collected through more than 25 exchanges.
