The first YouTube token channel has arrived.

It is TechHives, an infotainment channel dedicated to technology and aimed at people that aren’t tech savvy.

The channel has opened a MediaToken account on BANKEX for the issuance of tokens.

In this way, while the channel grows and attracts advertisers, the revenues of the token holders increase and in exchange, the owners of the channel obtain funds to be used to develop the channel itself.

In fact, it is an alternative financing model, eliminating the need to approach a credit institution, intermediaries and financing fees.

MediaToken is a service that offers complete access to statistics of your channels on social networks and account analysis with real-time reports.

For YouTube, it also collects data on the channel’s own revenue.

Moreover, thanks to the issue of tokens, it allows you to have the opportunity to raise funds and increase revenues and in this way remunerate investors who have decided to buy the tokens themselves.

The TechHives channel is an excellent case study because, among other things, it also deals with issues related to blockchain and cryptocurrencies, as well as presenting innovative technical solutions for different areas.

The channel has almost 5,000 members, and almost 3 million views on the 50 videos published.

To increase the number of subscribers and views, they decided to invest to produce new videos, but for this they needed funding.

The tokenization is an experiment that has just this as its objective: to raise funds in a simple and immediate way from ordinary investors in order to finance the growth of the channel.

The tokens were created in three phases.

First, TechHives’s YouTube account was placed on a blockchain.

Secondly, Media Token’s technology processed the account data and provided a predictive model for the volume of funding that the channel could attract from potential token holders.

Finally, the tokens themselves have been issued and are now available for purchase by anyone anywhere in the world.

Investors will receive a fixed percentage of the channel’s revenue stream, or they will be able to use the tokens themselves to buy advertising on the channel.
