Soulja Boy Bitcoin rap song released

Cryptocurrency is becoming more and more mainstream. Bitcoin has long been mentioned in the songs of famous performers including Eminem.

This time a new song has been released: “Bitcoin” by Soulja Boy, a former candidate for the Grammy Awards and the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Boy became famous in 2007 when his single Crank That reached the first position on the Billboard Hot 100 after being self-published on the Internet.

In the new piece, the rapper boasts of the gains made thanks to bitcoin. He says he has grossed “100 racks of bitcoins”, which are 100 thousand dollars.

In addition, in the lyrics of the song, he explains that he spent 6 thousand dollars on bitcoin, so that would be a return of 1500%.

He also refers to transactions through Paypal: although the platform does not directly support cryptocurrencies, so the reference might be to the use of Localbitcoins.

Being a rap song you don’t have to think that it’s all true, but if Boy had invested in 2015, today he could actually have had a return of 1500%.

And if he sold during the peak of December 2017 he could have generated such a return by buying at the beginning of 2017.

The rapper does not reveal the details of his alleged investment, but the figures he talks about in the piece are plausible.
