A state-of-the-art immersive recreation centre called Kind HEAVEN is under construction in Las Vegas and will base its back-end on the NEM blockchain.
The project was conceived by Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction, also founder of the famous music festival Lollapalooza. In a recent interview with Cryptonomist, Farrell had already talked about this idea of blockchain-based entertainment.
The centre will open next year on the Las Vegas Strip and will integrate blockchain technology using the NEM platform, thanks to a partnership with Asta for the development.
Kind HEAVEN’s innovation in entertainment is to combine wearable RFID technology with Hollywood-style storytelling to transport audiences to a new world where they can experience the culture, art, music, food and fashion of Southeast Asia, physically and in person.
The project needs a tested, fast and secure hybrid blockchain to, for example, track collectables. In fact, Kind HEAVEN is focused on developing a digital business of these collectables inspired by myths, characters, icons and geography from Southeast Asia.
Many of the items that will be on sale on the market will be tracked on the blockchain, and the wearable RFID bracelet will be the fast-pass to purchase these unique items.
Since these items are made by artisans from Southeast Asia, the blockchain will also serve to track the proceeds in a transparent way, to verify that the same proceeds really reach the producers.
