The Christmas eCards of Radicards based on Ethereum

Radicards is a project to send eCards – also Christmas ones – through the blockchain of Ethereum.

Sharing postcards is free (you only pay for the gas required by the blockchain) but you can also send a donation to a charity of choice.

For now, you can see only two associations on the Radicards website – Electronic Frontier Foundation and Enlaw Foundation – but the team is working to create more partnerships and extend the possibility to other charitable foundations.

Radicards is a charity project that we created to help fundraise for Electronic Frontier Foundation and other non-profits that have aligned values, goals with the Ethereum community. The idea is to design eCards, let users add censorship-resistant message, mint them as NFT and then sell them to help fundraise,” explains Lili Feyerabend, co-founder of the project and a member of ETH Berlin.

The team is consisted of the prominent projects from the NFT community. On a side note: It’s (crypto) winter anyway. We want to do something fun together and get to know each other while giving back to the Internet community,” continues Feyerabend.

The project is built on the Ethereum blockchain and IPFS and started only a month ago thanks to a working group of about 10 contributors from the UK, Germany and Italy.

The core team includes members from companies such as Pheme App, Blockr Rocket and MD does Thing; moreover, one of Radicards’ strategic partners is SuperRare, a well-known dApp in the art world.

It’s a voluntary contribution project. There is no company, we are people from various startups that have collaborated,” explains Tobia de Angelis, responsible for the research of new artists to design the eCards and contacts with the press.
