The banking giant JP Morgan Chase & Co is looking for a new Blockchain Product Manager for its London office. Unfortunately, the job description does not indicate what the salary would be for this professional figure.
The product manager will work within the team of the Blockchain Center of Excellence (BCOE), a specific section of JP Morgan that coordinates all blockchain activities within the investment bank.
The BCOE, in fact, aims to “test and develop the distributed ledger technology“, showing JP Morgan’s effort in exploring blockchain solutions.
For some time now, JP Morgan has been trying to get into this expanding sector with a budget of 5 billion dollars for the development of blockchain-based financial tools in order to become a leader as a digital bank.
A few months ago JP Morgan also announced that they are planning – in collaboration with the Ethereum Enterprise Alliance of which they are a member – to tokenize gold bars using the Quorum blockchain.
