Bitcoin: a treasure hunt in Paris thanks to a mural

French artist Pascal Boyart has launched a real bitcoin treasure hunt with a mural he painted in Paris.

The mural contains a hidden puzzle that allows, by deciphering it, to access the wallet 1NqPwPp7hEXZ3Atj77Ue11xAEMmXqAXwrQ on which there are 0.26 BTC deposited, equivalent to just over a thousand dollars.

For the artist, it’s a way to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Genesis Block.

Therefore, who will be able to decipher the puzzle contained in the mural should be able to access the wallet and transfer the BTC to a proprietary one.

This means that the winner of the treasure hunt will receive about a thousand dollars.

Boyart, however, hasn’t revealed the location of his mural, forcing people to physically go to Paris to look for it, thus starting a real treasure hunt.

The prize was made available by Alistair Milne, entrepreneur and Bitcoin evangelist, who also invited other people to donate more BTCs to the same address.

The image painted in the mural was inspired by Eugène Delacroix’s iconic work “Liberty Leading the People” celebrating the French Revolution.

In the case of Boyart’s mural, Liberty leads a group of the so-called Yellow Vests demonstrators, holding the French flag in their hands, probably indicating the first sign of a treasure hunt.

The Yellow Vests movement is not new to having relations with Bitcoin: in December, one of the demonstrators had written “Buy Bitcoin” on the back of his vest and the photo was taken by several people on Twitter.
