Formula 1: second NFT auction coming up

Tomorrow, June 19th, the second Formula 1 NFT auction for the Monaco Edition 2019 will be launched.

After the launch of the first NFT dedicated to Formula 1, the so-called 1-1-1, now F1 Delta Time launches the second virtual car, the Monaco Edition 2019, which is a tribute to the Monaco Grand Prix of 2019.

This is obviously a unique non-fungible token (NFT), which will be auctioned from 2 AM (GMT) on Wednesday, June 19th, 2019.

The Monaco Edition 2019 is a car inspired by the Monaco Grand Prix, one of the most famous tracks in Formula 1. Its livery, in fact, is inspired by the red and white part of the Principality of Monaco’s emblem and by its reigning family, the House of Grimaldi.

The performance figures for the Monaco Edition 2019 are as follows:

  • Top Speed 977, because this year the 77th edition of the Monaco Grand Prix took place;
  • Acceleration 929, because the first Grand Prix in Monaco was held in 1929;
  • Grip 978, because the Grand Prix has 78 laps;
  • Luck 33, because the circuit is 3.3 km long.

In addition, those who win this NFT will benefit from an advantage on the city circuits when the F1 Delta Time game is launched.

The auction will last 72 hours and participation requires a web browser that supports an Ethereum wallet: the offers will, in fact, be made in ETH.

During the first Delta Time F1 auction, the first NFT virtual car was purchased for 415.9 ETH, or nearly $113,000 to date, setting an absolute record for non-fungible tokens beyond CryptoKitties, whereas the absolute record belongs to the NFT Dragon of CryptoKitties, sold for 600 ETH.

F1® Delta Time is a blockchain game, licensed under Formula 1®, developed and published by Animoca Brands. In the game, these NFTs will compete with each other in real online races, which will be launched in early 2020.
