Coinbase has announced that new assets will arrive on the Coinbase Pro platform for both European and British residents.
On July 21, trading on ALGO-EUR, ALGO-GBP, LINK-EUR, LINK-GBP, XRP-GBP and XTZ-EUR, XTZ-GBP order books will start in phases. Trading will begin on or after 7AM (PT) beginning with post-only mode, proceeding to full trading if our metrics for a healthy market are met.

The Coinbase Pro platform is dedicated to experienced users and allows for more complex trading operations. It is also used as a pilot system to list new assets before they pass on to the main platform which is open to all users.
The news is really interesting because not only are new tokens listed, but they will be available for UK users as well. Often these customers have some more difficulties because of the pound and often they are forced to make a double conversion, while in this case, they can directly use the pound without necessarily having to convert it before.
In any case, there are 4 assets that will be added to the basket and these are:
- Algorand (ALGO) and the pairs ALGO-EUR and ALGO-GBP;
- Chainlink (LINK) and the pairs LINK-EUR and LINK-GBP;
- Ripple (XRP) and the pairs XRP-EUR and XRP-GBP;
- Tezos (XTZ) and the pairs XTZ-EUR and XTZ-GBP.
All very well known and used crypto assets, especially Algorand, which will now be available to buy directly without having to trade with other assets, usually Bitcoin (BTC) as it happens on Binance.
The listing of these assets will take place next week and specifically on Tuesday, July 21st when orders will open as soon as there is sufficient liquidity in the relevant pools.
The news is positive enough that these tokens are experiencing increases in trading.
In fact, Algorand (ALGO) is now at $0.27, Chainlink (LINK) continues to increase non-stop and has already exceeded $8, Ripple (XRP) is at $0.19, while Tezos (XTZ) is showing positive values and is just under $3.
Often, in fact, when a token listing is announced, the price of these assets marks a sudden increase, especially if the platform in question is as popular as Coinbase.
