Ripple: 29 banks use MoneyTap

As recently reported by SBI Group, several new banks have decided to use MoneyTap, a money transfer smartphone application created by Ripple.

Some of the most famous banks that recently decided to use Ripple’s MoneyTap include Awa Bank and Kita Nippon Bank. Altogether they are 29, respectively:

Keiyo Bank, Ashikaga Bank, Awa Bank, Ehime Bank, Kita Nippon Bank, Kiraboshi Bank, Gunma Bank, San-in Joint Bank, Shiga Bank, Shimane Bank, Shimizu Bank, Shinsei Bank, SBI Sumishin Net Bank, Suruga Bank, SE Bun Bank, Sendai Bank, Third Bank, Chikuho Bank, Toho Bank, Towa Bank, Tochigi Bank, Hiroshima Bank, Fukui Bank, Fuku Oka Chuo Bank, Fukushima Bank, Hokuriku Bank, Michinoku Bank, and 2 other banks that will invest in the service.

As a result, Ripple seems to find a lot of consensus in Japan with regard to its use, albeit it should be remembered that one bank, however, decided a few months ago to abandon the MoneyTap service.

Meanwhile, SBI has also stated that it will give its shareholders XRP tokens depending on the number of shares held.

This is an interesting month for Ripple which, among other things, also unlocked 1 billion XRP yesterday to meet the various demands of the market and the exchanges, as well as for the OTC (Over-The-Counter) platforms.
