Pornhub vs Bitcoin: the crypto hasn’t beaten porn yet

Bitcoin is on everyone’s lips and by now everyone, at least once, has heard of the crypto referred to in different ways, digital gold, store of value or sometimes, unfortunately, a Ponzi scheme. When comparing the term bitcoin to the famous pornographic website, PornHub, it is clear that there is still no comparison as far as Google searches are concerned.

Bitcoin vs PornHub: who wins?

During the last week alone, the search terms were 6 for bitcoin and 100 for PornHub, a difference of 1500%, proof that the famous pornographic website is more popular than bitcoin: sex easily beats crypto.

Last year the famous website had quite a few problems with the PayPal service which had been blocked. In the past PornHub had already considered some cryptocurrencies as a payment method, like Verge (XVG) but also TRON (TRX) and ZenCash (now HoriZEN), thus it can be said that the platform proved to be crypto-friendly.

But does PornHub win on all fronts and in every country?

The answer is no. There are cases where the term bitcoin exceeds that of PornHub, for example in countries like Liechtenstein, Turkey – to be precise in June 2019 – and also in Venezuela, where there are peaks with the term bitcoin surpassing PornHub in terms of searches.

Incidentally, precisely in Venezuela, following the incredible devaluation of the local currency, Bitcoin has set remarkable records on the LocalBitcoins platform, effectively outperforming the state crypto Petro, despite the airdrop planned for Christmas.

Therefore, analysing all the data, it is possible to see how, as a result of certain conditions, the term bitcoin is being more or less researched, despite the fact that on a global level nothing compares to the famous erotic video platform.

Surely as the price increases, there will be a greater search for the term bitcoin, seeing that it is more likely to draw attention when Bitcoin will return to reach particularly high figures.
