According to the latest documents that appeared online, Roger Ver has won the case against Craig Wright, the famous developer who for years has claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto.
On May 2nd, 2019 Faketoshi filed a lawsuit against Roger Ver after he called him “a fraud” during a Bitcoin Cash meetup in London.
Then in July of the same year, the London court cancelled the case because Ver resides in Japan, whereas the case was opened in London. So, at the time, a spokesman for Wright had commented:
“We really wanted to have somebody take up the challenge, Roger clearly wants to avoid this and we can understand why. But, luckily, we will have our day with Peter McCormack later this year.”
The other lawsuits of Craig Wright
This is not the first and probably not even the last lawsuit that Wright files against a personality from the crypto world: currently, in fact, he’s also involved in legal battles against Peter McCormack for the same reason and against Kleiman.
Craig Wright is not Satoshi
The latter lawsuit also seems to be destined to end badly for Wright, partly because recently some messages in transactions have appeared condemning Faketoshi as a fake; these transactions were carried out from addresses for which Wright claimed to have the private keys in the lawsuit which pitted him against the brother of his former (deceased) partner Dave Kleiman.
In fact, although Wright claimed to have private keys to many addresses, including the so-called Tulip wallet, these were never presented as evidence in court.
According to the latest news, it appears that Wright has already spent $166,000 in legal fees to reimburse Kleiman’s legal fees, while Kleiman had claimed $592,558 for legal fees and $66,000 as reimbursement for other expenses.
