Interview Didi Taihuttu: “The market was bound to collapse, not due to the Coronavirus”

The Cryptonomist had the opportunity to arrange an interview with Didi Taihuttu, a man who in 2016 decided to sell everything and live using only cryptocurrencies as a payment method. This involved not only him but his whole family, which has been called The Bitcoin Family ever since.

During these uncertain times of lockdown due to the Coronavirus, we had the chance to talk to him online and record a sort of podcast that can be listened to, here’s the Youtube link.

Being a world traveller, Didi was in Thailand when the interview took place and the Internet connection was not perfect, so the audio was cut off a few times.

Nevertheless, Didi discussed how his adventure in the crypto world started back in 2013, mining Bitcoin, how his family sold everything and went all-in with cryptocurrencies and how a true mass adoption will come in 2 or 3 years from now.

Another hot topic of the interview focused on the markets and their current decline. According to Didi, the markets were already physiologically destined to fall but all the institutions and governments have used the Coronavirus as the culprit to blame.

During the interview, Didi also answered some questions from fans, which we had received via Twitter at the time the interview was announced.

Didi is not the only one who has decided to live using only crypto, though he has been doing so for the longest time. We recently conducted an interview with Feliz Chelou, founder of The Real Bitcoin Club.

Here is the interview with Didi Taihuttu:
