CCID: EOS continues to dominate in China

The new ranking on the best blockchains according to the CCID (China Electronics Information Industry Development Research Institute) has just been released and once again EOS dominates the ranking of the Chinese organization.

EOS has been in first place practically all along in this ranking, in which several blockchains are evaluated, 37 to be precise.

It is worth noting that the research takes into account several parameters, such as:

  • Basic Technology: the functionality, performance, security and degree of decentralization of the blockchain are examined. This has a weight of 64%;
  • Applicability: it focuses on the development of nodes, wallets, developer support and application implementation. This has a percentage weight of 20%;
  • Creativity: it focuses on continuous innovation, the impact of the code and its updates. This has a weight of 16%.

EOS dominates the CCID ranking

In first place, there is, as mentioned, the EOS blockchain, synonymous with reliability and beyond. Among other things, most of the Block Producers (BP) are located in China, demonstrating how this blockchain can be the reference point in the country.

In second place there is the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain, which is currently facing several problems, both in terms of the cost of gas and problems with the ETH 2.0 testnet.

Then there is also IOST on the podium, which is rising to the top of the ranking, partly because it is making giant strides in the field of decentralized finance (DeFi) with a $1 million fund. Soon IOST will have its first decentralized application (dApp) in DeFi.

Subsequent positions are occupied, in order, by Tron (TRX), NEO, Cosmos, Qtum, BitShares, XLM and Dash.

Bitcoin goes down again and drops to position 14.

Among the worst crypto assets, there are IOTA, Cardano, Decred and ByteCoin. The efforts in terms of innovation do not seem to have any effect and these are the worst blockchains in this scenario, at least according to this Chinese research institute.
