Yahoo Finance crypto trading adds Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin

For some time now there has been a new section on finance.yahoo.com: it is the one dedicated to Yahoo Finance crypto trading, which can be reached at https://finance.yahoo.com/cryptocurrencies.

This section shows the prices in US dollars of the top 100 cryptocurrencies, using data from CryptoCompare.

For three of them, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin, the possibility of buying and selling in US dollars, has recently been added, while for the others it is not yet possible.

Anthony Pompliano, founder of Morgan Creek Digital Assets, shared the news on Twitter, commenting that “the virus is spreading”.

Yahoo Finance is a widely used platform, especially for information about financial markets, so this addition could significantly increase the number of cryptocurrency investors.

There are also those who believe that over the next months the possibility of buying and selling other cryptocurrencies will be added.

In fact, Yahoo has been working on the project for months, probably since its Japanese subsidiary acquired a cryptocurrency trading company, announcing that it would launch its own exchange in 2019.

The current move could be the first step in this direction, and if it were so, the catchment area could expand even more in the future.
