Yesterday, the Bitstamp exchange announced support for Lightning Network.
Bitstamp, a platform that has been supporting blockchain technology and crypto development since 2011, has decided to create its own Lightning Network node in order to improve the performance of bitcoin transactions and to manage millions of transactions per second with lower fees.
Connecting to the LN node of Bitstamp is very easy: it is sufficient to scan the appropriate QR code.
A few days ago Electrum, Coinbase and Samourai Wallet also decided to support Lightning Network.
Even the bitcoin wallet on the Apple Watch has opened up to LN’s support, demonstrating how this new technology has been being pursued for some time now.
At the moment, in fact, the LN network counts just under 9000 nodes and a total capacity of about 939 BTC
