Yesterday Bitmain officially announced its Ant Training Academy courses for mining maintenance.
These ATA courses have been developed to educate staff at mining farms on maintenance, installation, operation, problem-solving and repair, all of which were previously limited to insiders, as Jiang Zhihua, global marketing director at Bitmain, said:
“Until now, education around miner maintenance was limited to what industry participants could ‘hack’ together. The Ant Training Academy is part of Bitmain’s continued commitment to improve cryptocurrency mining standards, encourage more sustainable practices and bring credibility to the industry”.
The first 16 participants registered for this quarter were introduced by ATA at an opening ceremony in Shenzhen, where they will be prepared by the senior engineer of Bitmain Antminer.
In detail, the number of participants will be 16 every three months of the year and the duration of the course amounts to two weeks. Each participant will have to pay a registration fee depending on the type of package they choose: the basic package costs $1000, while the full package costs $2500.
Tang Huihong, a Bitmain technician, explained:
“Getting the maintenance process right helps to extend the lifetime of cryptocurrency mining hardware. But right now, it is difficult to find the right resources to help one to upskill. I look forward to taking ATA’s course as it’s practical, will save us the cost of sending miners for repair and would shorten the timeframe of miner downtime in the long run”
