Beppe Grillo, blockchain and scientific research

Yesterday, on Beppe Grillo‘s blog, a new article dedicated to scientific blockchain solutions was published.

The article talks about a platform called Matryx Grillo that uses blockchain technology to overcome the constraints of the academic world which is often victim of favouritism, highlighting the concept of “Open Innovation” related to the blockchain itself.

The DLT is proposed as a transparent tool for allocating resources to technological and scientific problems of greater social sensitivity, in a disengaged way from the usual undergrowth of high-ranking introductions.

The proposed solution is Matryx, a platform that uses the blockchain to overcome the fragmentation of resources.

Through a virtual reality system, the most relevant scientific problems are proposed and then solved in a collaborative way by several operators, who can then be rewarded with a specific cryptocurrency. The blockchain will allow identifying who has actively participated in finding the best solution.

The whole process, from the definition of priorities to the definition of solutions, is therefore completely transparent and democratically defined.

Beppe Grillo is the inspirer of the Movimento 5 Stelle (Italian political party) and it is not the first time that he is trying to bring blockchain technology into institutions.

Recently, the Ministry of Economic Development, currently headed by Luigi di Maio, has also called in 30 high-level experts to study and implement DLT solutions.
