On 24 June, Binance will open the doors to its new NFT marketplace and after recently announcing the 100 creators that will be part of the first drops that will be found on the platform at its launch, today the company has announced other news.
First of all, the genesis auction will be launched on 24 June at 10 AM UTC. Andy Warhol’s ‘Three Self-Portraits’ and ‘Divine Comedy: rebeget’ will be the first NFTs to be launched on Binance.
Whoever wins the auction of ‘Three Self-Portraits’ will also receive a physical copy of the work.
The artwork is actually a tribute to the Spanish artist but reinterpreted with CZ’s signature, the bitcoin symbol and the Binance logo.
Helen Hai, head of Binance NFT, explained:
“Binance shares similar values as ‘Genesis’, revolutionizing the fintech space with blockchain technology and crypto, paving the ways as a blockchain pioneer leader, just like how ‘Genesis’ auction will do the same for the NFT industry.”
Mystery Box on Binance’s NFT marketplace
Moreover, on 24 June on the NFT platform of Binance, a ‘Mystery Box’, i.e. a surprise NFT, will go on sale. The first will be by Tokidoki, a famous Japanese brand. In total there will be 16 designs created by Tokidoki, including 3 exclusive designs made just for Binance.
