Su Twitter si è consumato uno scontro all’ultimo sangue tra Justin Sun di Tron e Vitalik Buterin di Ethereum.
Il tutto è partito quando Juan Benet, meglio noto per aver creato il protocollo IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) che permette di immagazzinare informazioni in maniera decentralizzata, ha accusato Justin Sun, CEO della Tron Foundation, di avere copiato spudoratamente il suo progetto spacciandolo per nuovo.

Come tutti ben sanno, il protocollo IPFS è open source e quindi chiunque può forkarlo e migliorarlo per renderlo accessibile senza limiti e senza nessun costo: basta solo scaricare i file ed avviare il programma per accedere e servirsi del protocollo.
Il protocollo di BitTorrent File System (BTFS) fu lanciato in fase di test nell’estate scorsa e permette di avere un sistema di salvataggio peer-to-peer decentralizzato; ad ottobre dello scorso anno è stata lanciata la mainnet con migliaia di nodi già al suo attivo.
Oltre all’accusa di aver copiato il progetto, viene anche fatto notare come anche il logo sia estremamente simile a quello usato da IPFS, ossia un esagono che richiama ad un cubo in prospettiva. Così Benet si lamenta anche dell’acquisizione di BitTorrent da parte di Justin Sun.

Non è tardata la risposta di Sun, chiamato in causa a difendere il suo progetto, che ha rispedito al mittente le accuse.
Seriously? Do you own the Hexagon shape? You need to reexamine your ego bro. A shame that #IPFS hasn't delivered on filecoin system in 3 years & #BTFS/#BTT have been running smoothly. You're a vaporware scamming your investors w/ concept for a long time. Shame on you!

Come se non bastasse, anche Vitalik Buterin si è poi unito alla conversazione definendo Sun un dittatore, facendo riferimento anche alla questione avvenuta con il caso Steem.
